We are proud to offer a broad range of subjects, all of which are Level 3 qualifications, including A Levels, BTECs, AAQs, and Diploma’s. The curriculum is ambitious and well-sequenced to enhance student learning.

All courses will run over two academic years. A-Levels are assessed through examinations at the end of Year 13, while BTECs, AAQs and Diploma’s are assessed through a combination of coursework and exams across both Year 12 and Year 13.

Students are assessed during their courses through formal assessment weeks, that closely mirror the conditions they will experience in their terminal examinations. These take place twice per year in both Year 12 and Year 13. Year 12 students also complete knowledge tests at the end of the academic year, in order to inform the summer work they complete prior to Year 13.

All students will study three subjects. The right combination of courses is chosen with guidance from staff and is based on each student’s GCSE performance. Students may opt for a full programme of A-Levels, a vocational pathway, or a blended mix of the two.

Subject Enrichment

Each subject provides enrichment opportunities in order to further enhance the taught curriculum. This can range from entering national competitions, listening to visiting speakers, or local and national educational visits.

We also provide students with an Independent Study Platform. This enables students to read more widely around their specialist subjects, both to enhance their academic performance and prepare for further education at degree-level.

UCAS Tariffs

All Level 3 qualifications carry UCAS points, which are used by many universities to set entry requirements. These tariff points should be taken into account when selecting your post-16 courses, as they play a key role in shaping future options and opportunities.
