Teaching and Learning

Our current whole school priority is Adaptive Teaching based on external and internal QA. Therefore, for 24-25 the focus of the whole school input and collaboration sessions across the year will be developing and trialling strategies to ensure that teachers know how to check students’ understanding and consider whether to move on to new learning, recap or reteach leaning.

A T&L Working Party works to research and trail strategies before introducing to the whole school. As well as this, the party has created a set of phrases and language used at key points in lessons as well as a collection of IRIS videos to exemplify best practice in this area.
